Flu Season is Coming

This year the Ministry of Health has chosen NOT to provide flu shots to Family Medicine clinics. For this reason, we will not be able to have flu vaccine clinics as we have in the previous years. You will get an invite via the provincial vaccine system to get your flu shot, if you haven’t already, at a pharmacy near you. For more information on influenza vaccination, click here.
Online Booking
We recently opened up most appointment types for online booking through our website. Here are some tips for online booking:
use Google Chrome as your web browser for online booking, for accessing your electronic health record, and to open messages from your doctor.
you will need your email/phone number/Personal Health Number as identifiers.
help us by selecting a presenting issue that best describes the reason for your visit and by filling out any online pre-visit questionnaires.
remember that your provincial medical plan (MSP) will not cover more than 1 appointment per day at the same clinic.
Nurse Visits
The following types of visits can be booked with our lovely nurse, Richelle! Please call to schedule your:

ear washout,
wart treatment,
pap smear,
weight check,
blood pressure check,
wound care / suture removals,
memory testing, or
vaccinations / questions about immunizations.
New Faces / Voices and Upcoming Construction
If you have visited or called us this month, you may have noticed some new faces/voices at our clinic. With staffing shortages across all industries right now we are incredibly lucky to have been able to successfully recruit wonderful people to replace those who have moved on. Also, pardon the dust! We are in the process of renovating our clinic space to allow for more doctors and staff. We’re operating on the “if we build it, they will come” philosophy. Please be kind, courteous and patient with us through this phase of transition. We hope construction will be completed just before the holiday season.
Masking Still Required in Medical Settings
Please continue to mask for all in-person appointments, both in the waiting room and in the examination room with your physician. If you are exhibiting any respiratory/cold/flu/covid symptoms, please check a Covid-antigen test at home and let our staff know of the results before coming into the clinic. If you test positive for Covid, please isolate per the current provincial guidelines and book a telehealth visit or call 811 if you have any ongoing questions or concerns.
